Freight Analyst
Desford LE9 (Onsite role)
12 Month Contract – likely to extend and be rolling for the right person
37.5 hours a week: 7-3 or 8-4 Monday – Thursday, 5 ½ hours with a 7am or 8am start on a Friday
Up to £16.86 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £23.09

We’re looking for a Freight Analyst to join our client’s Global Shipping department in Desford to provide administrative support to the Shipping team, initially on a 12 month contract which is likely to extend and be rolling for the right person!
What will the Freight Analyst do?
Support core functions of the Shipping team
Ensure freight invoices are only processed when the actual service has been provided
Process freight invoices related to inbound/outbound material which fluctuates in line with production volumes
Collate Metrics, analysis and general administration related to freight invoices and shipping performance
Focus on Continuous improvement and completing 1PD's to support process improvements
What experience does the Freight Analyst need?
At least a year’s experience in a similar administration role within transportation accounting background
Knowledge and understanding of Incoterms and Freight terms
Proficient Knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, Access, Powerpoint & Word
Excel (create pivot tables, use v look ups & formulas), good data analysis skills within excel
Effective and confident communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organisation
Team Player – this is key as you will work closely with others to achieve agreed objectives
Good administrative skills as well as excellent organisation and time keeping skills plus an eye for detail and the ability to work very accurately and continually strive to improve processes
