I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established international freight forwarding and logistics business for an experienced Freight Coordinator.

The Role

As a Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing shipments across Ocean, Air and Road Freight services, ensuring the smooth movement of cargo from origin through to final delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing import and export shipments across multiple modes or transport
Coordinating Ocean, Air and Road Freight movements
Liaising with customers, overseas agents, carriers and suppliers
Arranging bookings and monitoring shipment progress
Handling freight documentation and customs-related processes
Providing customers with shipment updates and resolving operational issues
Managing deliveries and supplier relationships
Ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and company procedures
Maintaining accurate shipment records and operational files
Delivering a high level of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous freight forwarding experience
Experience handling both import and export shipments
Knowledge of Ocean, Air and/or Road Freight operations
Understanding of customs procedures and freight documentation
Strong organisational and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
Experience using freight forwarding systems
