Job Description
Are you an experienced freight forwarding professional ready to join a high-performing operations team?
Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client who is looking for a driven individual to oversee their freight forwarding activities in Belfast, managing multimodal shipments and delivering outstanding service to their clients.
What You'll Do:
Lead day-to-day forwarding operations (air, sea, and road) with a hands-on approach
Manage and motivate the operations team to meet performance targets
Ensure smooth customs clearance and regulatory compliance
Liaise with carriers, agents, and suppliers to coordinate efficient transport
Drive process improvements and ensure operational KPIs are met
Work closely with customers to provide tailored logistics solutions
Resolve escalations quickly and professionally
Criteria
Previous experience in freight forwarding/logistics (import & export)
Strong understanding of customs regulations and multimodal transport
Proven leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable using freight management systems and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of CDS/CHIEF systems and AEO procedures would be beneficial
