Job Description
Are you ready to take ownership of global logistics and deliver exceptional customer service? DSV is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder to join our export operations team. You'll be responsible for coordinating the safe and efficient transport of goods from the UK to destinations worldwide, ensuring every shipment meets customer expectations and complies with legal and company standards.
This is a hands-on role where relationship-building, problem-solving, and operational precision come together to create outstanding customer experiences.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing export documentation and operational work flows using DSV's in-house systems
Organising shipments to meet customer time frames and service expectations
Communicating clearly and professionally with clients to gather information and resolve queries
Ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures
Maintaining customer profiles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Liaising with subcontractors to arrange global carriage of goods
Raising invoices and monitoring financial performance of your shipments
Supporting team objectives and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing environment
What You'll Bring
2-3 year's recent experience in domestic or international road or sea freight operations
Strong communication and organisational skills
Commercial awareness and attention to detail
Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems
A proactive approach to problem-solving and time management
Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
