Freight Operations Supervisor - Glasgow - Up to £45,000 per annum
I currently have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Operations Supervisor with excellent knowledge of UK road freight and strong leadership skills to join my client's dynamic team in Glasgow. This role requires strong knowledge of UK roads/haulage and commercial awareness as well as previous experience leading a team.

Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday 8-4:30 (occasional on-call)
Salary: Up to £45,000
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising daily road freight operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries across the UK
Managing existing business & generating new business
Leading the team
Liaising with customers and drivers regarding potential delays and provide updated estimates
Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and company policiesRequirements:
Strong knowledge of UK road/ haulage
Experience working for a UK based transport/logistics company
Commercial awareness
Previous leadership experience
Organised and able to work on own initiative
Excellent communication and customer service skills
