Fresh Produce Trader/Buyer

  * Salary £35,000 to £50,000 per annum DOE

  * 40 Hours per week - Monday to Friday

Preferred Requirements:

  * Proven experience in fresh produce buying and selling, with a strong understanding of grower and customer relationships

  * Expertise in managing stock levels, conducting daily quality checks, and coordinating goods in and order placement

  * Ability to identify new suppliers and prospects, ensuring a diverse and competitive supply chain

  * Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with growers, agents, and customers

  * Passion for delivering high-quality produce and exceeding customer expectations

Preferred Qualifications:

  * Relevant experience in the fresh produce trading industry, with a deep understanding of the market dynamics

  * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise stock management and drive operational efficiency

  * Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, early-morning environment, with the ability to provide weekend cover when required.
