Are you a passionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) looking for a long-term opportunity in a supportive secondary school?
A specialist secondary school in Wembley is seeking a committed SEN TA to join their team full-time. This is a temp-to-perm role, offering the chance to transition into a permanent position after a successful initial period.
About the School
The school supports pupils aged 11–15 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated learning needs, including speech, language, and sensory processing challenges. All pupils have an EHCP, and the school prides itself on creating a structured, nurturing environment tailored to individual needs.
The Role
As an SEN TA, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASC and communication needs.
* Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies.
* Help deliver tailored interventions in literacy, numeracy, and life skills.
* Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement personalised learning plans.
* Foster a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, during term time.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in supporting children or young people with Autism and SEN.
* Calm, patient, and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
* Proactive and adaptable, with a genuine passion for inclusive education.
* DBS-checked (on the Update Service) or willing to apply immediately.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
