Functional Safety Engineer (Contract – Outside IR35)
Location: Warwickshire
Rate: Open to discussion
We are looking for an experienced Functional Safety Engineer to support a confidential engineering project on a contract basis. This role is outside IR35 and offers flexibility on rate for the right individual.
The Role
* Lead and support functional safety activities across the full development lifecycle
* Conduct hazard analysis, risk assessment, FMEA, and FTA
* Define and manage safety requirements and traceability
* Work with cross-functional teams to embed safety into hardware, software, and systems design
* Support testing, validation, and preparation of safety cases
About You
* Proven experience in functional safety engineering within an OEM, Tier 1, or complex systems environment
* Strong knowledge of ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or similar safety standards
* Hands-on experience with safety analysis methods and tools
* Confident communicator, able to work effectively with design, systems, and validation teamsBefore You Apply
