Functional Skills Teacher / Instructor
Location: Northampton
Education Setting: SEMH School 
Position: Full-Time 
Start Date: ASAP 

Here at Aspire People, we are seeking a resilient and patient Functional Skills Instructor to join a committed and supportive teaching team. You will be joining a school that provides high-quality education to young people with a range of SEMH and additional needs, and we are looking for a Functional Skills specialist who is passionate about making a real difference in their lives.

About the Role
* Deliver engaging Functional Skills lessons across Key Stages appropriate to a variety of learners.
* Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and encourages student progress.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, support staff, and leaders.
* Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and personalised learning pathways.
* Inspire confidence, resilience, and achievement in every learner.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Someone with experience teaching Functional Skills - QTS beneficial but not essential for this role 
* Has experience teaching learners with SEN/SEMH needs 
* Brings creativity, patience, and a nurturing approach to teaching.
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
* Has strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
