In this role, you will deliver City & Guilds Functional Skills Maths qualifications from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2. Teaching small, focused groups of up to 12 adult learners, you will play a vital role in their rehabilitation journey-using practical, adaptive techniques to make maths accessible, relevant, and directly applicable to future employment and daily life. What You Will Be Doing Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver interactive City & Guilds Functional Skills Maths sessions to small class sizes (up to 12 learners) across Entry Level 1 to Level 2. Enrichment & Collaboration: Promote numeracy, functional literacy, and reading for pleasure across the prison environment while working alongside prison staff, support practitioners, and employability teams. What We Are Looking For Qualifications: A Level 3 qualification in Mathematics and a Level 5 teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent) are desirable. No Teaching or Level 3 Qualification? No Problem! If you have a strong numeracy background and a passion for teaching, full support and funding can be provided to help you work towards these qualifications on the job. Experience: Proven experience delivering Functional Skills Maths. Prior experience within prison education, adult learning, or Further Education (FE) is advantageous.
