We’re currently looking for an experienced Functional Skills Tutor in Lincoln and surrounding areas to join our team. The Role: Functional Skills Tutor
As a Functional Skills Tutor, you’ll:
Deliver 1:1 or small group tutoring sessions in English, Maths, and IT.
Help students build essential skills to succeed in life and work.
Create tailored lessons to meet individual student needs.
Maintain professionalism, following all safeguarding policies and best practices.
Hourly Pay: £25–£30
A full UK driving licence is desirable, as some sessions may be delivered in students' homes or local libraries.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in teaching Functional Skills (English, Maths, IT).
Strong communication skills in English.
Based in Lincoln or the surrounding areas.
A passion for helping students improve their practical skills for everyday life.
An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply, with support from us).
Experience with SEND, SEMH, or other additional needs is an advantage.
UK teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
Familiarity with functional skills curriculum and exam boards.
Up-to-date safeguarding training.
Professional references covering 24 months from the last 10 years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
