Furniture Technician
Kettering
Part time 22.5 hours
£14850 per annum
Our client, a leading international centre of excellence in furniture testing and innovation, is currently seeking a Furniture Technician to join their expert team in Kettering on a part-time basis.
They work with top-tier suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers to ensure furniture products meet British, European, and international standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a respected organisation that sets the benchmark for quality and safety in the furniture industry.
️ Role Overview
As a Furniture Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting testing operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and conditioning furniture samples for testing
Assisting in physical testing of items such as mattresses, tables, cabinets, and seating
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in laboratory areas
Coordinating testing schedules with clients and the Head of Furniture
Accurately completing and maintaining training records
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Qualifications
GCSEs in Maths, English & Science (Grade C / Grade 5 or above)
Strong written and verbal communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
Desirable Experience
Previous experience in the furniture industry
Familiarity with consumer product testing
Forklift truck experience
