Job Description

S&D Trade Recruitment is working with one of our long-term clients to recruit Galvanising Operatives for a manufacturing facility in Cynwyd, North Wales. This site is commutable from Corwen, Wrexham, Tyn-y-cefn, and Bala. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family-run, expanding business with a collaborative culture offering real long-term career progression and job security. You will be part of a team operating within a clean, modern manufacturing facility. Shift patterns Week 1: Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm & Saturday 6am - 12pm and Week 2: Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm - Pay rate is £14.95 per hour. Galvanising Operative Duties: * Form part of a team working on galvanising component parts. * Be trained to work in all areas of the galvanising plant, including loading and unloading jigs and operating overhead cranes. * Prepare and process metal products through the galvanising process to ensure high-quality corrosion protection. * Prepare materials by cleaning, fettling, and jigging metal items for galvanising. * Operate overhead cranes and other machinery safely throughout the galvanising process. * Conduct regular quality inspections of galvanised components to ensure adherence to company standards. * Assist with routine cleaning and maintenance of galvanising equipment to ensure efficient operation. * Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation. * Follow Standard Operating Procedures and maintain high standards of Health and Safety and quality expectations. * Work collaboratively with team members and shift supervisors to meet production targets. Galvanising Operative Requirements: * Ability and willingness to work in all areas of the galvanising plant, including loading and unloading jigs and operating overhead cranes. * Commitment to following Standard Operating Procedures and maintaining high Health and Safety and quality standards. * Previous industrial experience advantageous but not essential. * Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and standing for extended periods. * Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime when required. * Commitment to wearing all issued PPE and adhering to safety protocols at all times. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
