We’re seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Games Design tutor to deliver across both Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE), including our brand-new FdSc Games Design & Animation foundation degree, delivered in partnership with Staffordshire University.
You’ll be working with industry-standard facilities and cutting-edge software, helping learners develop the practical and conceptual skills needed to thrive in today’s games and animation industries. With a focus on industry relevance and creative innovation, you’ll be pivotal in helping students turn ideas into reality.
What you’ll be doing:
Delivering engaging and forward-thinking sessions across FE and HE Games Design pathways.
Leading the new Games Design & Animation degree provision, helping shape curriculum and direction.
Supporting learners to build strong portfolios and professional practices.
Staying current with games industry trends, software, and workflows - from Unreal and Maya to Adobe and Blender (or equivalent).
Collaborating with creative colleagues across disciplines, from animation to digital media.We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in Games Design, Animation, or related digital creative fields.
Understands current industry-standard software and workflows.
Is excited by education and the potential of young creative talent.
Brings strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a future-focused mindset.
Holds a teaching qualification or is willing to work towards one.Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
