Job Description
Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Gardener to join Wakefield Council’s Grounds Maintenance team. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with a view to extend, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The Role
As a Gardener, you will:

Deliver high-quality horticultural and grounds maintenance services in line with council standards.
*
Carry out planting, turf and pitch maintenance, pest control, and seasonal clean-up duties.
*
Safely operate and maintain a range of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.
*
Work independently or as part of a team, supporting Assistant Gardeners where required.
*
Assist with emergency responses and seasonal tasks such as winter gritting.
*
Promote safe working practices, adhering to all health and safety legislation.
About You
*
Previous experience in horticulture, gardening, or grounds maintenance.
*
Skilled in using and maintaining grounds maintenance machinery.
*
Able to work flexibly across teams and locations.
*
Full UK Drivers Licence
