Job Description
The owners of a house in Glatton (Huntingdonshire) are looking for a sole gardener to manage and maintain their gardens.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a horticulturalist with drive and creative input to work closely with the owners to enhance a beautiful garden.
The position is 3 - 5 days per week (dependant on your requirement).
The property is set within 2 acres.
The gardens surrounding the house encompass expansive lawns with a variety of mature trees, borders & scope for extensive planting, a kitchen garden and a small orchard fruit trees.
On the outer perimeters of the property are fields.
Applicants should have hands-on experience in horticulturally diverse gardens, good physical fitness, and a real passion for gardening.
A recognised horticultural qualification would be desirable though not essential if evidence of adequate experience can be provided.
Candidates should be confident with their plant knowledge and be self-motivated, enjoy working to a high standard and have a keen eye for detail.
The appointed candidate will be required to work unsupervised but will maintain a quality collaborative approach with the owners.
Additional duties will include overseeing the grounds such as basic maintenance e.g. fixing fences and informing the owners when contractors are required e.g. tree surgeon. Etc
Due to the location of the property, it is essential that applicants hold a UK driving licence.
SALARY: Up to £19p/hr (General hours 9am – 4.00pm) Dependant on experienceBefore You Apply
