Job Description
We are looking for Gardeners for a temp to perm position in East London, to start in immediately.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Rate: £16.12/h
Successful candidate will be working in the parks within the borough and maintaining the ornamental areas.
The main purpose of the role:
* Assisting with the maintenance of grass areas to include mowing, edging, and renovation tasks
* To ensure that a high standard of customer care is offered to all sections of the community
* To remove litter and rubbish trapped in shrubs and hedges following the trimming of these
* To carry out gardening and horticultural maintenance to horticultural features under the direction of a Lead Gardener
* All other ad-hoc tasks as requested by the supervisor
Experience / Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience
* Basic gardening skills
* Clean driving licence
* Experience in using gardening tools including lawn mowers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers etc
* Minimum plant knowledge
* Understanding of Health & Safety
* Ability to take and understand clear instructions
* Ability to work in all weather conditions
* Ability to complete physical tasks unsupervised-
* Customer Care experience / dealing with public
* Ability to work within a team or as a lone worker
