Gas Contracts Manager Location: Newcastle Salary: Competitive Salary + Car Allowance + Benefits Are you an experienced professional with a strong background in commercial gas systems and facilities management? We are looking for a Technical Manager – Commercial Gas to lead and oversee the management, maintenance, and compliance of gas systems across various facilities in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity for an expert to bring their technical knowledge and leadership abilities to ensure the optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of commercial gas operations. What You’ll Do: * Lead a Skilled Team: Manage and guide a team of commercial gas engineers, ensuring best practices in equipment installation, maintenance, and compliance. * Oversee System Efficiency: Ensure all commercial gas systems, including boilers, heating systems, and associated infrastructure, are regularly maintained, tested, and operating efficiently. * Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with gas safety regulations, health and safety standards, and relevant environmental legislation. * Project Management: Oversee installations, system upgrades, and refurbishments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to industry standards. * Energy Efficiency: Implement strategies to improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall system performance. * Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to commercial gas systems, providing hands-on support when necessary. * Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations and service delivery. What We’re Looking For: * Experience: At least 5 years of experience in commercial gas engineering, facilities management, or a related field. * Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of commercial gas systems, including boilers, heating systems, ventilation, and associated mechanical equipment. * Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and developing a team of technical staff within a commercial gas or facilities management environment. * Qualifications: Gas Safe certification and relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Gas Engineering, or Building Services * Problem-Solving Ability: Excellent diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. * Health & Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of gas safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
