Job Description

The Role
We’re looking for a skilled and customer-focused Gas Engineer to deliver high-quality servicing, breakdowns, and repairs across our housing maintenance programmes. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to be part of a team delivering essential housing services that make a real difference to residents and communities.
Responsibilities
* Respond to emergency and reactive gas repair works, diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently.
* Maintain a high first-time fix rate, ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met.
* Complete gas safety checks and compliance inspections in line with current regulations.
* Support void property works, ensuring all gas systems are safe, compliant, and ready for re-let.
* Carry out remedial works and system upgrades where required to maintain service standards.
* Accurately complete PDA/job documentation, ensuring all works are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
About You
* Proven experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer within repairs, maintenance, or voids environments.
* Relevant qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (G3 and LPG/Oil/ASHP desirable).
* Strong customer service and communication skills, able to work sensitively in occupied homes.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and manage time effectively.
* Confident using handheld devices (PDA) for job management and reporting.
* Full, clean UK driving licence (we will accept minor motoring convictions).
