Job Description
Position: Gas Engineer - Social Housing Repairs
Location: Lichfield, Chasetown, Burntwood
Pay Rate: £19.49 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Temporary ongoing (with potential to go permanent after 12 weeks)
We are recruiting for an experienced Gas Engineer to join a reputable repairs and maintenance contractor working within social housing.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out gas servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on domestic heating systems
Issuing CP12 safety certificates
Dealing with Cookers, Fires, Gas Boilers
Responding to breakdowns and urgent repair works
Working in tenanted properties with a focus on first-time fix and customer satisfactionRequirements:
Current Gas Safe registration with relevant ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, etc.)
Proven experience in a domestic setting, ideally within social housing
Full UK driving licence
Must have own van and tools
Good communication skills and a professional manner in tenants' homesBefore You Apply
