Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Gateman to manage access to premises and ensure the safety and security of property, personnel, and visitors. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact, maintaining a professional presence while monitoring entry and exit points.
Key Responsibilities
* Control access to the site by verifying identification and permissions of visitors, staff, and contractors
* Maintain a log of all incoming and outgoing vehicles and individuals
* Monitor gates, barriers, and security systems to ensure proper operation
* Conduct routine patrols of the surrounding area as required
* Report any suspicious activity, security breaches, or incidents immediately
* Assist with directing traffic and deliveries entering or leaving the premises
* Ensure all safety and security procedures are followed at all times
* Provide general assistance and information to visitors in a professional manner
Requirements & Skills
* Previous experience in a security or gatekeeping role preferred
* Strong attention to detail and observational skills
* Good communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
* Basic record-keeping and reporting skills
* Physical fitness to stand or patrol for extended periods
