Psychology, Sociology & PSHE Teacher - Maternity Cover | Trafford | £168-£232 per day Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a passionate Social Sciences teacher for an exceptional opportunity - could this be your next role? Are you a confident and engaging teacher of Psychology, Sociology and PSHE looking for a rewarding maternity cover position in a high-achieving girls' secondary school environment? We are working with a well-regarded and oversubscribed girls' secondary school in Trafford, seeking a dedicated teacher to join their team from June 2026 through to Christmas 2026. This is a full-time role within a supportive, ambitious and academically driven setting where students are encouraged to aim high and achieve excellence. The Role Full-time Psychology, Sociology & PSHE Teacher GCSE focus across all three subjects Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons to mixed-ability classes Assess, track and support student progress in line with curriculum expectations Contribute to a high-performing Humanities/Social Sciences departmentThe School High-achieving and oversubscribed girls' secondary school Strong reputation for academic excellence and pastoral care Students are motivated, respectful and ambitious Supportive leadership team and collaborative department culture A school that values high standards, inclusion and student wellbeing equally Excellent transport links across Trafford and surrounding areasWhat We're Looking For QTS, QTLS, or equivalent secondary teaching qualification Experience teaching Psychology and/or Sociology at GCSE level (PSHE desirable) Strong classroom management and ability to engage learners of all abilities A teacher who can deliver clear, structured and engaging lessons Ability to contribute positively to both academic and pastoral developmentPay & Benefits Competitive daily rate: £168 - £232 per day Access to 2,500+ free CPD courses via The National College Full interview preparation and ongoing support Help with planning and placement guidance Simple online portal for timesheets and availability In-house payroll team - no third parties Flexible holiday pay options Referral rewards and networking opportunitiesIf you're a committed Social Sciences teacher looking to make an impact in a high-performing school environment during a maternity cover role, we would love to hear from you.
