Job Description
Are you passionate about helping young people succeed in their GCSE exams? Prospero Teaching are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Tutors in Totton to support learners in the current Year 11 cohort as they prepare for their upcoming exams.
Subjects Needed:
English
Maths
Plus, a variety of other subject specialistsAbout you:
Ability to plan engaging, practical, and well-paced sessions tailored to individual learner needs
Confidence in supporting students with GCSE content
Strong communication and organisational skills
Suitable for QTS Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Cover Supervisors, HLTAs, and non-qualified teachers with relevant experienceAs a Tutor, you will:
Deliver engaging and tailored lessons in English and Maths to support Year 11 learners preparing for GCSE exams.
Plan and structure sessions that are practical, interactive, and paced to meet individual student needs.
Assess learner progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure understanding and confidence.
Provide motivational support to help students overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.Position -Tutor

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
Experience of working with learners with SEN/ SEMHTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)Before You Apply
