An exciting opportunity has opened for a Gearbox Assembly Controller to take ownership of a key sub-assembly area within a world class F1 team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with hands on experience in gearbox assembly or trackside support, who's looking to step into a planning and coordination role where their practical knowledge can make a real impact.
You'll be working closely with skilled technicians, engineers, and production staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient scheduling of Gearbox and Hydraulics work across shifts. If you've worked closely with drivetrains and hydraulic systems, especially in a race team or motorsport environment, you'll understand the pace, precision, and problem solving required to thrive in this role.
What the role involves:
You'll be responsible for planning and managing the daily schedule for the Gearbox and Hydraulics assembly group. That means making sure jobs are accurately scheduled, kitted, and achievable with the available resources. Clear communication is key in this position as you will be liaising with multiple departments to ensure all components are manufactured on time. Working closely with group leaders, engineers, and manufacturing teams, you'll monitor capacity, flag up bottlenecks, and keep the plan live and accurate. You'll attend key meetings, track progress, and adjust schedules where needed to keep everything moving.
This role blends technical understanding with clear communication and fast paced decision making. A background in gearbox assembly, drivetrains, or hands-on sub-assembly will be key to understand what's happening on the shop floor and plan accordingly.
What We're Looking For:
A background in gearbox assembly, ideally from motorsport, trackside, or a fast-moving build environment.
Great communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple moving parts
Strong attention to detail and confidence using planning or manufacturing systems.
Someone who understands what's involved in delivering high-spec components, on time and to exact standards.
Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure - someone who can see the bigger picture but still get stuck into the detail.This is a key role within a high performing team where your experience on the tools will be valued and your input will directly impact build success.
