Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced General Builder with good all-round knowledge to work as a multi trade operative on Disrepair properties.
The job requires work and travel across the North London (Camden, Kentish town, Willesden, Finchley, Enfield) and the Home Counties (Stevenage, Watford, Welwyn, Hitchin).
Properties for this well-known Housing Association are situated across all of these areas so there will be regular travel as a requirement of the job.
The ideal person will have worked in social housing previously.
Gilmartins is a family owned and run business; our staff are valued and our ethos is to promote from within. Our Board of Directors mostly started on the tools themselves so have a ‘hands-on’ understanding of the work we do.
We work in social housing and provide reactive repairs for local authorities and housing associations.
General Builder / Multi Trade Operative
The role is to -
* Carry out property repairs and maintenance works – social housing
* Working to Scope of Works on PDA for each job
Requirements for Job:
* Full UK manual driving license – not EU or automatic
* Own tools
* Experience of working in social housing ideally
* DBS certificate

Hours of work are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday with one Saturday or Sunday in four required (paid extra to salary at standard rate)Before You Apply
