Cover Supervisor - Secondary School (Tendring) 
Location: Tendring, Essex 
Contract: Full-time 
Start Date: 13th April 2026 
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant secondary school in the Tendring area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is looking to develop a career in education. 
About the Role 

As a Cover Supervisor, you will: 
· Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task with pre-prepared work. 
· Manage classroom behaviour in line with the schools policies. 
· Support students learning and engagement in a range of subjects. 
· Assist with administrative tasks, duties around the school, and cover for support staff where needed. 
· Act as a positive role model, promoting our school values and expectations. 

About You 
We are looking for someone who: 
· Has excellent communication and organisational skills. 
· Can remain calm under pressure and manage a classroom effectively. 
· Enjoys working with young people and building positive relationships. 
· Is adaptable and able to confidently cover a variety of subjects. 
· Has previous school experience (desirable but not essential).
