General Cover Teacher - Penzance
Location: Penzance and surrounding areas
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner)
Contract: Full-time, part-time, or flexible supply work
Salary: £140-£220 per day (depending on experience)
Are you a qualified teacher who enjoys variety and flexibility? We're looking for General Cover Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in Penzance. These roles are perfect for teachers who want to focus on classroom delivery without the planning and marking responsibilities.
The Role
Deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups
Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
Support pupils' learning and manage classroom behaviour
Adapt quickly to different schools and classrooms
Provide reliable cover when permanent staff are unavailable
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to cover multiple subjects
Experience teaching within secondary schools (UK curriculum preferred)
An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply)
