Job Description

My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a General Foreman to help deliver a water infrastructure scheme in Guildford. This is a great opportunity for an experienced General Foreman with a strong civils and water background to join an established project team.

General Foreman Responsibilities:

  * Toolbox talks

  * Supervising site operatives and subcontractors

  * Managing day-to-day site activities

  * Allocating labour, plant and materials

  * Client liaison

  * Health and safety compliance

  * Ensuring works are carried out in line with RAMS

  * Monitoring progress and reporting to the Site Manager

  * Ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme

  * Maintaining quality standards and site records

  * Coordinating multiple site activities and supporting the wider management team

General Foreman Requirements:

  * Black or Gold CSCS

  * SSSTS or SMSTS

  * Previous experience as a General Foreman on water or civil engineering projects

  * Strong civils background

  * Experience managing site teams and subcontractors

  * Good understanding of RAMS, health and safety and quality requirements

  * IT literate

  * Full UK driving licence
