Job Title: General Foreman – Renewables Projects (Scotland)
Location: Various sites across Scotland
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Are you an experienced and driven General Foreman looking to make a real impact on the future of renewable energy in Scotland?
An established civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of renewable energy projects is seeking a proactive General Foreman to join their team. Operating on major onshore substations, windfarms, cable routes and battery storage unit projects throughout Scotland, this is a chance to work at the forefront of the transition to net zero.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials.
Work closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to ensure programme and quality targets are met.
Maintain site records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
Contribute to site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
Ensure workforce understands and adheres to risk assessments and method statements.
About You:
Proven experience as a General Foreman on civil engineering projects, ideally within the renewables or infrastructure sectors.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate site teams.
Excellent understanding of site health & safety and environmental requirements.
Flexible and willing to work on various projects across Scotland, including remote locations.
Valid CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS, and First Aid certification required.
Full UK driving licence essential.
