Orion Group have been engaged by a long established civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of projects to source an experienced General Foreman to join their team.
This contractor has a reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across scotland and is well know for looking after there staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for YOU to be at the forefront of projects across the Marine, Renewables and Power & Transmission sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials.
• Work closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to ensure programme and quality targets are met.
• Maintain site records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Contribute to site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Ensure workforce understands and adheres to risk assessments and method statements.
About You:
• Proven experience as a General Foreman on civil engineering projects, ideally within the renewables or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate site teams.
• Excellent understanding of site health & safety and environmental requirements.
• Flexible and willing to work on various projects across Scotland, including remote locations.
• Valid CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS, and First Aid certification required.
• Full UK driving licence essential
