General Foreman - Nights - (Cambridge)
Location: Cambridge
Shift: Nights
Rate: £400-£450 per night (Inside IR35)
Contract: Until October 2025
Start Date: Mid-July 2025
We are currently seeking an experienced General Foreman for night shifts on a major highways infrastructure project in Cambridge. This is a contract position running until October 2025, with a mid-July start.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise nightly site activities
Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Deliver nightly briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure team readiness
Requirements:
Highways experience is essential - previous experience on roadworks or major highways schemes
SMSTS - Required
CSCS card - Required
First Aid - Preferred
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage a team and maintain productivity during night operations
