Are you an experienced leader in food manufacturing, ready to drive a high-performing site through its next phase of growth and transformation?
We're working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer with a reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence. As part of a succession plan, they are seeking a strategic, commercially aware General Manager to take full site leadership responsibility.
✅ The Opportunity
This is a high-profile, autonomous leadership role where you'll shape the site’s operational agenda, develop talent, and ensure world-class standards in safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
You’ll lead a team of c.300–500 across operations, engineering, H&S, supply chain, and technical. The site is integral to the group’s UK food production strategy.

Own full P&L and lead the site leadership team

Deliver year-on-year improvements in OEE, safety, cost and culture

Champion a CI/Lean mindset across functions
*
Build a people-first culture: developing talent, engagement, and accountability
*
Drive sustainability, customer excellence and operational innovation
*
Represent the site at Group level and with external stakeholders
👤 The Ideal Candidate
*
Proven senior leadership experience in food manufacturing (GM / Site Director / Ops Director level)
*
Strong grasp of end-to-end operations, including H&S, quality, planning, and people
*
Comfortable in a fast-paced, retailer-driven environment
*
Commercially and financially astute with full P&L ownership
*
Natural leader and communicator who thrives on developing others
*
