Established in 1980, the WasteCare Group now employs over 500 people based at 21 regional centres throughout the UK. We collect and recycle over 200,000 tonnes of hazardous and difficult waste, on behalf of over 20,000 organisations annually throughout the UK.

The waste industry is highly regulated and complex, we set our standards higher than those mandated by legislation and embrace technology to improve service levels to our customers. THE ROLE - As a General Operative, you will develop a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise of what it takes to be at the forefront of recycling and sustainability.
Key duties include:
Sorting and segregating materials for reuse and recovery
Loading and unloading vehicles *
Manual handling *
Adhering to general health & safety *
Operating plant machinery including Forklift trucks (if applicable) *
Assisting in other duties on site as and when required
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE *
Will be a self-motivated team player who is passionate about their work with a “can do” attitude with a “hands on” approach as the working day will be varied. You need to be physically fit as this is a fast-paced role. With an enthusiastic and hardworking attitude, there is plenty of scope for progression.
