Job Description
General Operative, Airdrie, £14.13/ph
We are looking for General Operatives to join our established night-shift team in Plains, Airdrie.
This is a hands-on role focused on preparing the workshop for painting and production activities the following day.
As a General Operative, you will be tasked with:
Cleaning, sanding, and filling surfaces in preparation for painting
Applying masking tape and protective coverings to trims and edges
Assisting painters by organising tools, materials, and equipment
Setting up work areas and workstations for the day shift
Cleaning and maintaining tools, paint equipment, and the general work-space
Following all health & safety procedures to ensure safe use of tools and equipment What you can expect:
A pay rate of £14.13 per hour
Night-shift work pattern: Monday to Friday
Regular opportunities for overtime at enhanced rates
Ongoing training & development
Clear path to a permanent contract and long-term progressionWhat we're looking for:
