We’re recruiting a General Practitioner to join the healthcare team within a Category B prison in Manchester. You’ll be part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality care to individuals with a wide range of physical, mental health, and substance misuse needs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide face-to-face consultations for acute and chronic conditions
Support integrated care pathways in partnership with nursing, pharmacy, and mental health teams
Deliver assessments on new receptions and support planned care for existing residents
Participate in safeguarding reviews, risk assessments, and MDT meetings
Help shape and improve clinical services in a secure setting
What We’re Looking For:
GMC registered GP with current licence to practise
Experience in primary care, urgent care, or secure settings (prison experience not essential)
Strong communication and risk management skills
