Job Summary
My Dudley Food production based client is seeking a skilled and motivated General Repair Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining bespoke machinery on multiple lines, including ancillary machines.
Duties
* General repairs on maintenance of bespoke machinery.
* General repairs and adaptations if needed within the factory.
* Control the day to day running of the engineering unit.
* Oversee and manage established systems with regard to check sheets and preventative maintenance.
* Oversee integrity of lines and other food equipment.
* Ensure the safety and legality of products is noy jeopardised during engineering.
* Follow all hygrine practices and work in a safe and legal manner.
* Understanding of work instruction WE01.
* Attend Food safety review meetings.
Skills
* Understanding of engineering in a food processing environment.
* Basic engineering qualifications is essential.
* Basic Welding qualifications required.
* Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
* Knowledge of relevant engineering principles and practices.
Hours
* Monday - Thursday 8:30am-5pm
* Friday 8am-1pm.
* hours may be flexible for the right candidate.
* Temp to perm following a successful trial period.
* £16ph whilst training.
