General Teacher Start date: September start Salary: M1-M6 pay scale (depending on experience) Full time Inspire, Support, Transform: We are currently supporting a school in High Wycombe to find an outstanding teacher to join their team. The school is an Alternative Learning Provision (ALP) providing a nurturing and tailored education for pupils aged 11–16 who require a different approach to learning. About Us: We create a safe and inclusive environment where young people who have struggled in mainstream education can re-engage with learning. Many of our pupils have social, emotional, or behavioural needs, and we work closely with families, professionals, and the wider community to ensure every child has the chance to succeed. The Role: We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and flexible General Teacher to deliver a broad and creative curriculum to small groups of students. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives. Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across a range of subjects Creating a supportive and positive classroom culture Managing behaviour effectively using trauma-informed and restorative approaches Working collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, and external agencies Tracking and reporting on student progress and wellbeing Helping pupils build confidence, self-regulation, and key life skills About You: We welcome applicants from a range of teaching backgrounds. Experience with SEN, SEMH, PRUs or ALPs is desirable but not essential. More important is your empathy, adaptability, and genuine belief in every child’s potential. You will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or willing to work towards this.
