Academic Appointments is delighted to be working in partnership with a prestigious Independent School in Harrogate to recruit a passionate and experienced Head of Geography. This is a full-time placement starting in September 2025, continuing until July 2026.
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Geography specialist to lead the department and deliver high-quality teaching up to Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will:
* Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across all key stages.
* Be responsible for marking and assessment in line with school policy.
* Lead and manage the Geography faculty, supporting both staff and students.
* Contribute to a collaborative and innovative teaching environment.

Candidate Requirements:

* Two recent references from educational settings.
* A passion for teaching and student achievement.
* Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
