Geography Teacher – Full Time Position

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our vibrant and dynamic school community from September 2025. As a Geography Teacher at our school, you will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging lessons that foster curiosity and deepen students' understanding of geographical concepts, from physical geography to human geography. You will be part of a supportive and enthusiastic department committed to providing the best possible learning experience for all our students.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective geography lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all students can access and enjoy geography.

Differentiate your teaching to meet the needs of students of varying abilities and learning styles.
*
Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their development.
*
Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the school to improve teaching and learning.
*
Contribute to extracurricular geography activities, trips, and events that enhance students' learning experiences.
*
Play an active role in the development and delivery of the geography curriculum.
Essential Criteria:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching geography in a secondary school setting.
*
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for geography, with the ability to make it relevant and engaging for students.
*
Proven ability to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, preparing students for GCSE examinations.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
*
A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
*
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria:
*
Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 4 and preparing students for GCSEs.
*
A willingness to participate in field trips and extracurricular activities related to geography.
Salary:
This role offers a competitive salary on the MPS/UPS Outer London Pay Scale, dependent on experience.
