A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Hackney is seeking a passionate and committed Geography Teacher to join their successful Humanities department from September 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach a subject that helps students understand the world and their place in it — both locally and globally.
The Role – Geography Teacher
* Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 available for the right candidate)
* Deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons that develop enquiry, analysis, and critical thinking
* Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of new resources
* Use a range of assessment methods to support progress and close learning gaps
* Take part in fieldwork opportunities and promote Geography across the wider school community
About You – Geography Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or completing a PGCE/QTS this academic year
* A degree in Geography or a related subject
* Excellent subject knowledge and familiarity with the AQA or Edexcel specification
* Confident in adapting teaching for mixed ability groups, including SEN and EAL students
* Strong classroom management skills and a positive, inclusive teaching style
* A genuine passion for Geography and inspiring curiosity about the world
