GSL Education are currently seeking a committed and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to engage young minds in topics such as climate, globalisation, sustainability, and population.
Role Overview:
As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering well-structured and stimulating lessons across Key Stages, inspiring curiosity about the natural and human world. You will support students in developing analytical skills, geographical knowledge, and a sense of global citizenship.
Responsibilities as a Geography Teacher:
Teach Geography across Key Stages in line with the national curriculum.
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and informative lessons.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with varying learning needs.
Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and school-wide activities.
Promote an understanding of environmental and societal issues through your teaching.
Requirements for the Geography Teacher role:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
A degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
Experience teaching Geography in a UK school setting.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for inspiring students and making geography meaningful.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
