Job Description
Our client, an esteemed firm operating across various sectors, is seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to become part of their team in Hertfordshire. This permanent position offers a comprehensive blend of site supervision, report writing, and geotechnical analysis, suitable for individuals eager to contribute to diverse and impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising ground investigations on-site
Writing detailed geotechnical reports
Conducting geotechnical analysis and assessments
Scoping and pricing new work
Liaising with clients to ensure project specifications are met
Managing and organising site crews
Participating in graduate training and chartership programmes
Attending regular CPD sessions and external events
Job Requirements:
Degree in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, applied geology, or civil engineering with geotechnical content
Experience in geotechnical engineering, including relevant placement experience
Comfortable working both on-site and in an office environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Creative thinking and self-motivation
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Understanding of geotechnical assessments and numerical modelling (training will be provided)
