Responsibilities
As a Geotechnical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Designing and managing ground investigations.
Conducting Phase 1 desk studies and preparing interpretative reports.
Performing geotechnical risk assessments.
Liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Supporting and mentoring junior engineers while learning from senior and principal engineers.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
Experience in ground investigation and geotechnical engineering.
A full UK driving licence.
The ability to commute to the Birmingham office.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve a mix of office-based and site-based activities, including:
Planning and supervising ground investigations.
Analysing data and preparing technical reports.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Engaging with clients to provide updates and address project needs.
Contributing to the development of junior team members.
