Job Description
Geotechnical Engineer
First People Solutions is working with a well-established consulting engineer who are looking to grow their team with the addition of a Geotechnical Engineer in Glasgow.
Are you an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a background in the rail industry or heavy civil engineering? Looking for a fresh challenge and the chance to work on exciting projects? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
Job
Prepare technical drawings, calculations and specifications for geotechnical works such as bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and earthworks
Conduct feasibility studies, ground investigations and design
Assist in the delivery of the design of geotechnical elements of existing and future projects
What we need from you:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Earth Science or equivalent
3-5 years of professional experience working with a design engineering consultancy in the UK
Chartered (CEng) status or close too
Relevant experience, knowledge and skill of geotechnical principal and standards
Knowledge of relevant geotechnical design software
Full UK driving licence
