Salary: MPS1 - MPS6 per day, DOE

The Role:
Empowering Learning is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages Teacher (French and German) to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham.
This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, beginning in January 2026. The successful candidate will be able to teach up to GCSE in either French or German, and Key Stage 3 in the other language.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated language specialist who can inspire students and promote a passion for languages and cultural understanding.
Requirements:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching French and/or German at secondary level
Ability to teach one language to GCSE and the other at KS3
Strong subject knowledge and passion for languages and culture
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
Level 1 Safeguarding Training (training can be provided)
Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
