German Teacher Job Vacancy German Teacher role in Birmingham Starting date: November 2025 Salary: MPS1 - MPS6 per day, DOE Temporary Contract: Long-term cover Full Time Vacancy: (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday) German Teacher Specification We are currently recruiting for a passionate German Teacher to join a successful and vibrant secondary school in the Birmingham area. This is a full-time, long-term position beginning in November 2025. The successful applicant will be confident teaching German across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the ability to inspire a love for languages and promote excellent progress. Experience delivering GCSE German is essential, and familiarity with KS5 is desirable but not required. Requirements: Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching German at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) Strong subject knowledge of German language and culture Ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-differentiated lessons Effective classroom and behaviour management skills A genuine passion for Modern Foreign Languages education Safeguarding Level 1 trained (training can be provided if needed) A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) The School is Looking for a German Teacher Who: This Birmingham-based secondary school is known for its inclusive community, supportive staff culture, and dedication to achieving excellence in teaching and learning.
