Are you a passionate and dynamic German Teacher looking to inspire young learners?
Rotherwood Education are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic German Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Colne area from September 2025.
This role is ideal for a passionate and adaptable German teacher who is ready to inspire students, embrace new challenges, and thrive in a dynamic and forward-thinking school environment.
About the role:
As a German Teacher, you will play a key part in a vibrant and collaborative Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department, delivering high-quality lessons that ignite curiosity and passion for the German language and culture. You’ll be instrumental in helping students communicate confidently, think internationally, and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Support learners of all abilities, using creative strategies to tailor lessons to individual needs.
* Encourage student participation through dynamic and interactive teaching methods.
* Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and departmental resources.
* Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes progress and achievement.
The ideal German Teacher will:
* Hold QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification in Modern Foreign Languages.
* Have recent experience teaching German within a UK secondary school, ideally at both Key Stage 3 and 4.
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine love for German language and culture.
* Show confidence in classroom management and the ability to foster a safe, respectful learning environment.
* Be proactive, creative, and committed to ongoing professional development.
* Be an excellent communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative setting.
Requirements:
* Relevant teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE or equivalent)
* Proven track record or relevant school-based experience
* A current, enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
* Relevant references to support your application
* Willingness to attend a face-to-face registration and complete necessary vetting checks
