Job Description

My client, a market leading, international Engineering and Environmental Consultancy who specialises in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Geotechnical Engineering and Flood Risk, is searching for a GIS Technician to join an established team based in Oxford. It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including Geography, Environmental Management or GIS and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing GIS mapping using ArcGIS and QGIS. You will also be expected to have experience completing Python Coding and using AI for projects. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally as you will be expected to work from the office. As a GIS Technician you will have the opportunity to join a team of experienced Consultants to complete Environmental Management, Flood Risk, Water Resources, Hydrogeology, Drainage and Flood Alleviation Projects for Local Authorities and Private Sector Clients in the UK and overseas. Applicants will also be supported to complete GIS Mapping using ArcGIS and QGIS, Statistical Analysis using SPSS, and coding using Python.
