Job Description:
We are recruiting a reliable and motivated Goods In / Goods Out Operative to support warehouse and logistics operations at the Van Leeuwen Middlesbrough facility. The Goods In / Goods Out Operative will be responsible for the safe and accurate handling of inbound and outbound materials, ensuring stock is processed efficiently and in line with company procedures.
As a Goods In / Goods Out Operative, you will work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure materials are received, stored, and dispatched correctly. This is a hands-on role involving the use of FLTs and overhead cranes, with strict adherence to health and safety standards in a busy industrial environment.
The successful Goods In / Goods Out Operative will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This role is essential to maintaining smooth operations and supporting wider production activities.
Skills & Experience:
We are ideally looking for the following in a Goods In / Goods Out Operative:
* Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach preferred)
* Experience operating overhead cranes (desirable – training available)
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
* Good understanding of manual handling and health & safety procedures
* Ability to check goods accurately against delivery documentation
* Basic IT skills, including use of stock systems or handheld scanners
* Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial setting
* Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
