Job Description

Goods In Operative * 6am - 6pm * 4 On 4 Off Location: Glenfield, LE3 8JR The Role * Checking Goods against delivery notes for accuracy and damages & completing paperwork * Assist with stock takes and PI Checks. * Load and unload delivery vehicles in line with H&S procedures. * Movement of goods between departments – using FLT or manual and Electric pump trucks * Notify relevant departments if any shortages occur on deliveries * Liaising with the technical team if a non-conformance needs raising * Physically moving stock onto pallets * Ensure all stocks movements are accurately recorded including stock to be allocated to production. * Quality checking goods on arrival prior to accepting load. * Booking in deliveries with suppliers * Maintaining & supporting min/max product stock levels across all manufacturing sites for ingredients and packaging by accurately picking stock and organising transport. * Working within FIFO and managing stock rotation and date codes. * General Housekeeping of Goods In Warehouse * Cross-training with other departments to provide support & cover where needed to meet the needs of the business. * Report all accidents & incidents, including near misses, and assist in investigations where necessary * Observe and help to drive our Health and Safety culture About Us At Geary’s, we’re on a crusade to make proper bread more accessible to more people.
